Self-indulgence in the name of Christ

Below I’ve linked to a few videos showing the mayhem of Black Friday.  Oh,  how great is contrast between the truly thankful participants of the first Thanksgiving — those who gave thanks to God for life and simple sustenance, and the current celebrants.

Fleshly self-indulgence would be an apt description of these videos.

Tomorrow I will be preaching  from Acts 4.   At the end of that chapter we see the essence of true Christianity.

Acts 4:32  And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
